KASU holds 3rd Inaugural Lecture

Kaduna State University held its 3rd inaugural lecture, which was delivered by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Tanko. The Vice Chancellor stated the need to improve revenue generation, proper taxation and enhanced budget implementation at all levels for a better economy. He further stated that, the Nigeria economy is facing a lot of challenges and it is timely to look at a way forward, which was the topic budgeting, taxation and revenue generation was chosen.

The institute of public speaking, also conferred the vice chancellor, as a fellow member of the institute of public speaking. Contributions were made by lecturers and the audience at the end of the event. The University Librarian Dr Abdullahi I Musa delivered the vote of thanks.

Professor Bala Dogo is the first professor to present an inaugural lecture in Kaduna State University. The lecture titled, Planning and Working with people: an essential strategy for Human Development  was delivered on 24th May, 2016. Professor Dogo moved from Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna to Kaduna State University as a full Professor after favourable external assessment as the first professor in KASU. He resumed duty in KASU in 2006 as the HOD, Geography Department. He was appointed the Dean, Faculty of Science from 2008-2012.
